I use Photoshop to edit my pictures slightly. In the past I didn't like the idea of editing pictures, but that was when I wasn'f familiar with the programme. Now I understand how it works I know how much of a difference it can make.
In the beginning
I have had an interest in photography since I was a kid, but never very seriously until I got a digital camera 3 years ago. It has gradually become an obsession.
I first discovered Photoblogs at the beginning of 2005 when I came across Travis Ruse's wonderful Express Train Photoblog documenting his daily journey to and from work on the New York Subway. Seeing the pictures of life as it was just so recently in a place so far away from me is something that I love to see.
I continue to check his site on an almost daily basis.
In the Summer of 2005 I spent a few weeks in America; staying in Rhode Island and New York with my friends. When I was riding the subway in New York I was continually reminded of Travis' pictures.
After discovering just a few of the great number of photoblogs, I knew I had to have my own.
The site
Whilst in America, I discovered the drink Iced Coffee. Its quite a hit, but I quickly caught on. It became the name of the site as it is something that reminds me of my time in in the usa and the wonderful friends that I have there. I aim to post a new picture every day.
I started the site as a place to publish my pictures and to help improve my photography. It is also a way of ensuring that I continue to take pictures on a regular basis. My aim is to post a new picture every day.
